Southwest

While it's the smallest quadrant of Washington, Southwest contains much of its history. Here you will find the Smithsonian museums, and tourist attractions and federal buildings dominate the landscape. The Southwest Waterfront recently has emerged as a trendy spot for nightlife, and development has only intensified with the announcement of a new baseball stadium. SW is accessible via the Blue, Orange, Yellow, and Green lines of the Metro.
